MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />September 1, 2005 <br />Pursuant Co due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 1`~ day of September, 2005 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. <br />Chair Ginger Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members <br />of the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Ms. Molly Boss <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Tony Mans <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Tim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />""`TNUTES Larson recommended that the minutes of tTze meeting held on July 7, 2005 be approved as <br />submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Mans. <br />Motion carried G - 0. <br />PARK The Director stated that according to our ordinance, commercial development is not subject to <br />CHARGE a park charge unless there is a property division involved. For instance, the recent sale of the <br />O12DINANCE commercial property on Noel Drive to the Watershed District would not have triggered a park <br />charge if it had not been for the small property division they requested. The Director <br />commented that he did not feel that this was the intent of the Commission or the ordinance. <br />Therefore, he would like to change the wording to reflect Chat all commercial properties under <br />development be charged a park charge regardless if there is a property division involved. <br />Gray recontntended that the park charge ordinance be amended so that commercial <br />properties will be charged a park charge regardless of whether a property division is involved. <br />Motion seconded by Boss. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
