MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 26, 2008
informed the Planning Commission that if they wanted him to move the
trailers during the winter months, he would move them. Mietta again
stated that he is still perplexed as to why he cannot park these trailers in
his parking lot. Mietta stated that he would screen the trailers fiom Mr.
Grant's view by planting some trees, and noted that the trailers would be
less of an eyesore than the stuff stored on Mr. Grant's neighbor's property.
Mietta stated that he owns commercial property and pays a lot of property
taxes. He stated that he is asking to use his property for a commercial
business.
There was no one else from the general public present wishing to
comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Keis, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was
closed.
Keis stated that he would support the Planning Commission
recommendation to allow the display trailers to remain on site until
October 31, 2008. Blesener noted that this would allow the trailers on the
property through October 31, 2008. Blesener agreed, and stated that if the
garage/trash enclosure is not constructed to provide space for the indoor
storage of these trailers, then Mr. Mietta should find another location to
store them.
McGraw pointed out that the display trailers will be in and out of the site
during the spring, summer, and fall. Blesener again pointed out that the
Planning Commission recommended a deadline of October 31, 2008.
McGraw asked if it was O.K. to allow the display trailers during 2008, but
not 2009. Keis too noted that the trailers would move in and out the
majority of the spring, summer, and fall. Keis suggested the trailers be
allowed to stay for two years similar to the Commission's
recommendation for the gazebo.
Mr. Keis inri•oduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2008-3-77 - APPROVING A TEMPORARY PUD
PERMIT ALLOWING THE OUTDOOR STORAGE OF THREE
DISPLAY TRAILERS FOR TEMO SUNROOMS AT 2905 COUNTRY
DRIVE FROMAPRIL 1, 2008 THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2008 AND
FROMAPRIL 1, 2009 THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2009 WITH THE
COUNCIL TO REVIEW THE TEMPORARYPERMIT IN OCTOBER
OF 2009, AND WITH THE CLARIFICATION THAT THERE WILL
BE NO OUTDOOR STORAGE OF THESE TRAILERS DURING THE
TIME PERIOD NOVEMBER 1 THROUGH MARCH 31, 2008 AND
NOVEMBER I THROUGHMARCH31, 2009
