MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />May 14, 2008 <br />CITYADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THEAGREEMENT ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2008 The City Engineer reviewed in detail his May 7, 2008 report relative <br />IMPROVEMENTS to bids received for the southwest trunk water main improvements <br />SW TRUNK project that includes extension of a 12-inch water main along County <br />WATERMAIN Road B-2, tluough the St. Jude property, and along Viking Drive. An <br />IMPROVEMENT 8-inch water main will be installed to Stephanie Court and a sanitary <br />PROJECT sewer service is being repaired on Edgerton Street. Five bids were <br /> received ranging from $638,321.19 through $798,800.00. The low bid <br /> was from Redstone Construction. The Engineer reported that he has <br /> checked references for Redstone Construction, and those references are <br /> satisfactory. <br />Keis asked when work would begin. The Engineer indicated <br />approximately June 1st. This work will be coordinated with the St. Jude <br />project. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-5-125 -AWARDING THE LOW BID OF <br />REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION IN THEAMOUNT OF $638,321.19 <br />FOR 2008 IMPROVEMENTS, SW TRUNK WATER MAIN <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />NUISANCE The City Administrator reported that some progress has been made by <br />ABATEMENT the property owner at 3007 Arcade Sheet in cleaning up this property. <br />3007 The only item of concern that remains is the overfull dumpster on the <br />ARCADE property. Therefore, the Code Enforcement Officer is recommending <br />STREET that the Council table action on abating the nuisance on this property until <br /> May 28, 2008 to give the property owner some additional time to get the <br /> dumpster removed. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />11 <br />
