MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />May 14, 2008 <br />WATER <br />TOWER <br />DOOR <br />REPLACEMENT <br />RESOL UTION N0. 2008-5-126 -TABLING ACTION ONABATING <br />THE NUISANCE AT 3007 ARCADE STREET UNTIL THE MAY 28, <br />2008 COUNCIL MEETING AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT OFFICER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's <br />report dated May 6, 2008 relative to water tower door replacement. The <br />low quote was from Lake Country Door for a total of $1,968.77 for the <br />door and the opener. The Administrator indicated that there will be a cost <br />of up to an additional $500 to run power to the garage door opener. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-5-127 -AWARDING THE LOW QUOTE OF <br />LAKE COUNTRYDOOR IN THEAMOUNT OF $1,968.77 FOR <br />INSTALLATION OF A NEW DOOR AND GARAGE DOOR OPENER <br />IN THE CITY'S WATER TOWER AND AUTHORIZE UP TO AN <br />ADDITIONAL $500.00 FOR THE RUNNING OF ELECTRICAL TO <br />THE DOOR OPENER AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LIGHTING The City Administrator reviewed the Parks & Recreation Director's <br />PROJECTS report dated May 1, 2008 relative to lighting projects at the Spooner Park <br />tennis court and the Old Fire Barns hockey rink. The low bid for this <br />work was received from Killmer Electric in the amount of $65,900.00. <br />The cost would be paid from the Capital Improvement Budget, and is <br />under the budgeted amount. <br />Blesener asked if additional lighting will be needed at the skating complex <br />if the pleasure rink is moved to south of the hockey rink. He also asked <br />about lighting of the skateboard park. <br />The City Administrator was unsure whether additional lighting would be <br />necessary. <br />12 <br />
