Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. RICE STREET- The City Administrator noted that the Council requested proposals for VIKING the development of the City's property at Rice Street and Viking Drive. DRIVE - One proposal was received from Abdo Markethouse, and that proposal ABDO was heard at an April 16t~' workshop meeting. At its Apri123, 2008, the MARKETHOUSE City Council decided to leave the property on the open market and not given exclusive development rights to the property to Abdo Markethouse. The Administrator reported that Larry Abdo is present this evening to request that the Council reconsider this action. Larry Abdo, Abdo Markethouse, reported that he has lived in the City for the past 30 years. He reported that he and his family are developers and can see the value of the City's Rice Street/Viking Drive sites. Abdo reported on the existing tough market conditions, and pointed out that without an exclusive development arrangement, it was not economically feasible for them to market this property.
