MINUTES UF THE REGULAR P~ETTNG <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />L!T`PLE CANADA~ MINNESOTA <br />January 13~ 1982 <br />1'ursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Council o£ the City o£ Little Canada was held on the 13th day of <br />January, 1982 in the Counoil Chambers of the City Center located <br />at 515 Little Canada Hoad in said City. <br />The Mayor, Mr, Raymond Hanson, called the meeting to order at ~;35 <br />P.M, and the following were present at roll call; <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Itaymond Hanson <br />Councilman Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Councilman Mr. Dennis Forsberg <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Mugs Nardini <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRE5ENT: City Clerk Mr, Joseph Chlebeck <br />Consulting Engineer Mr. Donald Carley <br />City Attorney Mr, Thomas Sweeney <br />Recording Secretary Mrs. Kath.Leen Glanzer <br />Invocation Mr, Totty ~inzeo a Deacon at St. Ambrose Catholic Church gave the invocation. <br />Approval Mrs, Nardini indicated that on page 5 of the December 23, 1981 minutes <br />Of The in paragraph 5 under the subject o£ the MGM liquor license transfer, <br />Manutes the location proposed for the new location of the ~GM store is incorrect <br />and shou].d be changed to show the location as between Viking Drive and <br />Minnesota Street near Rice Street. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that the same minutes should be amended by correcting <br />Resolution No. 81-12-701~ to show thet the present City Attorney would <br />continue £or the City~s civil work through December 31, 1981 and the <br />City~s prosecution work through January 31, 1982. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the £ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-1-1 - AYPHOVING THE MINUTES OF TftE <br />DECEMF3ER 3~ 9 COUNCIL MEETING WITH THE OUTI,INED <br />CORRECTIONS <br />The foregoing reso].ution was duly seconded by Mr, Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Hanson, Scalze, Forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Reso].ution declared adopted. <br />I'his resolution appears in Resolution Book No, 8, Page l, <br />Acting Mayor Mrs, Naxdini nominated iIrs. Scalze as the City~s acting mayor for 1982, <br />Appointment Mr. P'orsberg oommented that it is Mrs, Nardini~s 2'eelisxg that the position <br />should be rotated. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that he had no objection to i~Irs. Scalze~s nomination and <br />would support her, but did not agree that the position should be rotated, <br />but should go to a senior member of the Council that has demonstrated <br />leadership, <br />Page -1- <br />
