MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 22, 1991 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of October, 1991 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 5:00 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT <br />City Admin. <br />Rec. Director <br />Public Works <br />Park Comm. <br />Planning Comm. <br />Planning Comm. <br />LCRA <br />Citizen-At-Large <br />Recording Sec. <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Mr. Dave Harris <br />Mr. Ken Wehrle <br />Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Steve Garske <br />Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Mr. Dick Boss <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this workshop meeting is to evaluate the <br />structuring of the Park and Recreation Director <br />position. Mayor Hanson noted that the current Director <br />has announced his plans not to continue in the capacity <br />of Park and Recreation Director in a part-time capacity <br />no later than January lst, and sooner, if possible. <br />Therefore, the meeting was called to evaluate the <br />various options that are open. <br />Jim Morelan reported that he came to his decision <br />because he cannot continue working two full-time jobs. <br />Morelan stated that he realizes that this is not a good <br />time to bring up the issue of a full-time Parks and Rec <br />Director because of the City's financial situation. <br />However, Morelan did not know that there would be a <br />good time to discuss the issue in the near future. <br />The City Administrator reported that he has discussed <br />the matter with Morelan, and it appears that the City <br />Page 1 <br />
