MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 10, 1992 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the lOth day of June, 1992 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 6:30 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Recordinq Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />CITY The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to <br />ADMINISTRATOR conduct the annual performance review of the City <br />PERFORMANCE Administrator. <br />REVIEW <br />The first area of responsibility that was reviewed was <br />the Administrator's "Organizational Manaqement". <br />Hanson felt that the Administrator's leadership was <br />very effective, but indicated that one area that he <br />would like to see strengthened is the Administrator's <br />direction to City staff of the need for a friendly <br />response to citizens and the public. <br />Blesener felt that in this category the Administrator <br />exceeded expectations and had done a good job. <br />Blesener noted that the Administrator is fairly new to <br />the position and inherited the majority of the City <br />staff. Blesener suggested that areas for improvement <br />would be working with staff and consultants to address <br />complaints of residents and the Council. Blesener felt <br />that there were times the staff and consultants needed <br />more pushing to get things done. Blesener noted that <br />the Administrator keeps up with current technology and <br />issues. <br />Scalze agreed, and indicated that it was her feeling <br />Page 1 <br />
