Kathy Glanzer <br />I2[CE ~T[4EET/ The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to review <br />Ll'CT'LE redevelopment concepts for the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. <br />CANAID~ lt(2AI2 Nir. Chris Moarn, Mr. John Laurent, and Ms. Jennifer Bruchette, <br />ItE~EdE1L(9~iViEIvIT Laurent/Parks Company, appeared before the Council to discuss concepts <br />for the redevelopment of this area. Moarn reported that they have spent <br />time talking to people, getting educated on the property and the <br />nei~hborhood as well as the demographics of the area. As a result of this <br />work, a concept pian for the area has been developed. Moarn presented <br />and described this concept which includes the possibili4y of eliminating <br />Littie Canada Road lying between Rice Street and Market Drive, installing <br />a rouad-about on the west end of Littie Canada Road, and creating a pubiic <br />area where Little Canada Road had been. Examples of the use of this <br />public area include a farmers' market, band slieli, etc. <br />Moarn reported that they have looked for ways to incorporate the ponding <br />that is proposed for the area with the new buildings. 1'hey have also <br />
