MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> MAY 12, 2010 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br /> Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 14th day of <br /> April, 2010 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br /> Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br /> following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br /> Council Member Ms. Shelly Boss <br /> Council Member Mr. John ICeis <br /> Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Mike McGraw <br /> ALSO I'KESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br /> City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br /> <br /> ECONOMIC The City Administrator reported that Paul Abdo had indicated that <br /> DEVELOPMENT he had a proposal for the development of the Rice StreeUViking Drive <br /> Redevelopment site. Abdo had reported that the building was 100% <br /> ABDO leased and he was loo]<ing to move forward on a fast timeline. I Ie had <br /> PROPOSAL also indicated a willingness to pay $400,000 for the property, which is <br /> approximately $10 per square foot. This is actually at the low end of the <br /> range established for the site, but a realistic number given market <br /> conditions. However, his lender is questioning the financing which may <br /> impact the purchase price. <br /> The Administrator reported that Mr. Abdo could not be present this <br /> evening, and has requested that the Council call a workshop for prior to <br /> the May 26`" meeting. At that time, Abdo will discuss his proposed <br /> development. The Council was agreeable to a workshop meeting on May <br /> 26°i at 6:30 p.m, provided that date and time worked for Abdo. <br /> SHERMAN The City Administrator reported that the City has sent a Notice of <br /> NOTICE OF Default to Sherman Associates for failure to pay 2009 property taxes on <br /> DEFAULT The Village. The Administrator reported that Sherman Associates has <br /> paid the TIF guarantees on the property. He further reported that Mr. <br /> Sherman has indicated he will not lose the building for non-payment of <br /> taxes and plans to bring property tax payments current by the end of the <br /> <br />
