CITY COUNCIL <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota, was convened on the 27t" day of May 2026 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Tom Fischer called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., and the following members of the <br />City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Fischer, Council Members Malone, Kwapick, Miller, and Schwalbach. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryce Shearen, Assistant City Administrator Laura Linehan, <br />Community Development Director Ben Harrington, Public Works Director Bill Dircks, City <br />Engineer Eric Seaburg, City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller, and Finance Director Carl Jacobson. <br />LEJ;JEMQW0JMJ*1=10• <br />APPOINT NICK SCHWALBACH TO FILL CITY COUNCIL VACANCY <br />The City Administrator provided a brief recap of the process that was followed to fill the vacancy <br />that was created when a previous member of the Council resigned. He noted that of those 11 <br />residents who submitted an application, Nick Schwalbach was chosen to fill the remainder of the <br />term. <br />Malone introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />COUNCIL VACANCY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OATH OF OFFICE FOR NEW COUNCIL MEMBER NICK SCHWALBACH <br />The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to new Council Member Nick Schwalbach. <br />Schwalbach joined the Council at the dais. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2026-5-66 — APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 13, 2026, <br />WORKSHOP, THE MAY 13, 2026 REGULAR MEETING, AND MAY 20, 2026 <br />WORKSHOP AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Malone. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />
