• Goal 6: Promote alternative transportation such as bicycling, walking, transit and <br />rail. <br />• Goal 7: Maintain and coordinate the transportation system with adjacent <br />communities, Anoka County, Washington County, Metropolitan Council and <br />Mn/DOT. <br />The proposed development provides consistency with the Comprehensive Plan by <br />incorporating sidewalks and trails, connecting public access to CSAH 32/Ash Street and <br />making necessary improvements to the intersection of CSAH 21/Centerville Road. <br />The inclusion of sidewalks and trails are critical for pedestrian connectivity to nearby <br />commercial nodes. Retail businesses, restaurants, and a movie theater exist within a'/4 <br />mile of the subject site. <br />Sanitary Sewer Plan <br />Goals of the Sanitary Sewer Plan are: <br />• Goal 1: Identify, protect and preserve the desirable natural areas and ecological <br />and aquatic resources of the community. <br />• Goal 2: Initiate and continue vigorous collaborations and programs to address, <br />restore, and preserve the water quality of the regions lakes, wetlands and other <br />aquatic assets. <br />• Goal 3: Ensure that well -planned, quality residential, commercial, industrial and <br />institutional development to accommodate the City's projected growth needs <br />occurs in a manner that also conserves and enhances the city's natural resources <br />and amenities. <br />• Goal 4: Identify and work cooperatively with the state and other local <br />government entities to develop approaches for addressing potential ecological <br />challenges and threats that could adversely affect Lino Lakes. <br />• Goal 5: Maintain the City's residents and businesses with an affordable and safe <br />sanitary sewer system. <br />The proposed development is consistent with the Sanitary Sewer Plan by providing <br />sanitary services to undeveloped areas in a planned manner. Public sanitary sewer will <br />be installed within the development. The site is located in Sanitary Sewer District 4 <br />(Sub -district 4A) and is ultimately served by White Bear Township. An existing gravity <br />and force main sanitary sewer bisects the southwest corner of the site. This was installed <br />to serve the North Oaks Rapp Farms development and is connected with White Bear <br />Township. Sanitary sewer service will be through a joint powers agreement with White <br />Bear Township. <br />Water Supply System Plan <br />Goals of the Water Supply System Plan are: <br />11 <br />
