CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-07 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR WATER <br />TOWER #1 RECONDITIONING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, The City Council approved the plans and specifications for the Water Tower #1 <br />Reconditioning Project and authorized advertisement for bids at the December 28, 2015 City <br />Council meeting, and <br />WHEREAS, The bid opening was conducted on Feb 3, 2016 at City Hall, and <br />WHEREAS, Three bids were received: <br />Contractor's Name Total Base Bid Deduct #1 <br />M.K. Painting, Inc. $ 926,250 $2,000 <br />TMI Coatings, Inc. $ 936,625 $9,000 <br />Classic Protective Coatings Inc. $1,297,950 $0 <br />WHEREAS, The bid forms of each bidder were reviewed for conformance and accuracy and <br />were found to be in order with the exception of one mathematical error by TMI Coatings, Inc., <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, The low bidder was M.K. Painting, Inc. with a total base bid amount of $926,250. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The bid for the Water Tower #1 Reconditioning Project be awarded to M.K. Painting, Inc. <br />with a total base bid amount of $926,250. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th day of February, 2016. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Maher and was duly seconded by Council MemberManthey and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Maher, Manthey, Rafferty, Kusterman eine <br />The following voted against same: <br />none � <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell, City • erk <br />Jeff Reine M.yor <br />
