CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />MEETING DATE: June 13, 2016 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 16-55, Approving Acquisition of <br />Permanent Easement, Old Birch Street Cul De Sac <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting council action approving acquisition of an easement for drainage, utility and <br />roadway purposes for construction of the Birch Street Cul De Sac. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council approved the Development Agreement for Saddle Club 2nd Addition <br />(Resolution No. 16-13) on April 11, 2016 which included provisions for the construction of a <br />cul de sac at the end of Old Birch Street. As part of the developer's improvements the existing <br />access to Birch Street will be closed and a cul de sac constructed. Construction of the cul de <br />sac did require acquisition of additional right-of-way. WSB and Associates, working on behalf <br />of the City, have reached a final agreement for easement acquisition in the amount of $3,000. <br />The developer is responsible for City costs associated with the construction of the cul de sac. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 16-55. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
