CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-72 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REPLACEMENT OF TWO AIR <br />CONDITIONING SYSTEMS AT THE CIVIC COMPLEX <br />WHEREAS, staff is requesting City Council approval to replace two air conditioning systems at <br />the Civic Complex; and <br />WHEREAS, both condensing units have experienced significant failures, and are approaching <br />the average life expectancy of twenty years as tracked by industry standards of the American <br />Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); and <br />WHEREAS, staff is proposing to have one 20 ton and one 40 ton high efficient R410A <br />condensing units and evaporator coil systems installed; and <br />WHEREAS, this project is proposed to be financed from the Building Facilities Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED city staff is authorized to proceed with the <br />following: <br />• Purchase the condensing units and evaporator coil systems directly from the <br />manufacturer. <br />• Contract with NAC Mechanical and Electrical Services to prepare the plans and <br />specifications for this project for an amount not to exceed $3,200. <br />• Solicit, receive, and open bids. <br />• Present the installation bids for City Council consideration at the August 8, 2016 City <br />Council meeting. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of July, 2016. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Manthey and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Kusterman, Manthey, Maher, Rafferty, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell, City ' lerk <br />Jeff Reinert, <br />
