CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-78 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN <br />FOR PAID ON-CALL FIRE PERSONNEL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has integrated fire services into the Public Safety <br />Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the wages and compensation of paid on-call fire personnel is a vital component of <br />an effective recruitment and retention program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 14-61 established the compensation for paid on-call fire personnel; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to changes in the minimum wage law, the pre-service training hourly rate <br />needs to be increased to be in compliance with state law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that <br />the City hereby amends the compensation plan for paid on-call fire personnel, effective August 1, <br />2016: <br /> <br />Fire Fighter Per Hour Wage <br />For calls during pre-service training $ 9. 50 <br />Upon completion of the basic fire training (FFI &FFII) $10.50 <br />Upon completion of EMT $12.00 <br />Upon completion of 5 years of service $13.50 <br />Upon completion of 10 years of service $14.00 <br />Upon completion of 15 years of service $14.50 <br />Upon completion of 20 years of service $15.00 <br /> <br />Fire Command/ Officer Monthly Stipend <br />Fire Lieutenant $225.00 <br />Station Chief/ Deputy Chief $300.00 <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of July 2016. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_____________and was duly seconded by Council Member _________ and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br />________________________________ <br /> Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_________________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk
