<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1G <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: June 13, 2016 <br /> <br />TOPIC Consider Resolution No. 16-47, Approving a <br />Special Event Permit for Fiesta Cancun on July 11th, 2016 <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Fiesta Cancun has applied to the City for permission to conduct a special event located at 7090 <br />21st Avenue for Fiesta Cancun’s 1st year anniversary scheduled for July 11th, 2016. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Ramon Ruelas, Manager of Fiesta Cancun, has submitted an application for a special event <br />permit, noting that his event will include a 20’ x 20’ canopy located in front of the business. <br />Food service is available outside as well as one bar located under the canopy. Staff has been <br />working with Fiesta Cancun to ensure that the event plans meet appropriate state and local <br />regulations. <br /> <br />A list of conditions has been developed relating to the application and event. All conditions are <br />set forth as Attachment A to Resolution No. 16-47 and it is recommended that conditions be <br />attached if the Council elects to approve this special event permit. Mr. Ruelas has reviewed and <br />accepted the conditions. <br /> <br />The application, site plan and all background information are available for review in the City <br />Clerk’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 16-47, Authorizing a Special Event Permit for Fiesta Cancun on July <br />11, 2016 with the conditions as set forth
