The school was built in 1957 and was renovated in 1960, 1975 and <br />1999. <br /> <br />The proposed renovation will create 4 additional classrooms, a large gathering space at the <br />front/south side of the building and an outdoor classroom to the west side of the building. The <br />school’s primary, current curriculum focus is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and <br />Math) and there is a trend and expectation for an increased student population. Much of the <br />school’s HVAC systems are outdated, inefficient, and provide only limited climate control. <br /> <br />The current, proposed project submitted for review intends to address several objectives of the <br />school district: <br /> <br />- A major HVAC renovation throughout the 1960 and 1975 portions of the building
