Gari addressed concerns from the board including; parking situation, future <br />antennas or dishes on roof, and the fire suppression system. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 7:43 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no one present to speak. <br /> <br />Mr. Masonick made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 7:44 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Laden. Motion carried 5 - 0. (Tralle abstained) <br /> <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to recommend approval of Eagle Brook Church Addition <br />Conditional Use Permit & Site Plan Review. <br /> <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 5 -0. (Tralle abstained) <br /> <br />D. PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending Chapter 1007 to opt out of <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 462.3693 regarding the creation and regulation of <br />Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings <br /> <br />Mr. Grochala, Community Development Director presented the staff report. Staff <br />recommended the approval of amending Chapter 1007 to opt out of Minnesota Statutes <br />Section 462.3693 regarding the creation and regulation of Temporary Family Health Care <br />Dwellings. <br /> <br />1. In May the Governor signed into law a bill that would allow mentally or impaired <br />persons to reside in a Temporary Care Dwelling on a relatives or caregivers property. <br />2. Automatically goes into effect September 1st unless cities decide to opt out. <br />3. Possibility to investigate how other cities deal with this new law, how it will work, <br />the impact and better understand the best fit for our community in the future. <br />4. Current ordinance has a provision that helps deal with the situation of allowing a <br />accessory apartments in single family homes. <br /> <br />Staff addressed questions of the board including; if opt out is permanent, how long is <br />temporary, how this law came about, and consider looking into future possibilities. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 7:54 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no one present to speak. <br /> <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 7:55 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Stoesz.
