COUNCIL MINUTES March 13, 2017 <br />APPROVED <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 DATE March 13, 2017 <br />6 TIME STARTED 6:30 p.m. <br />7 TIME ENDED 7*03 p.m. <br />8 MEMBERS PRESENT Council Member Rafferty, Kusterman, Maher, <br />9 Manthey, and Mayor Reinert <br />10 MEMBERS ABSENT none <br />11 <br />12 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael <br />13 Grochala; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />14 <br />15 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />16 <br />17 Jennifer Gramse, resident of Circle Pines, explained her involvement in the PowerPack food <br />18 assistance program and remarked on the assistance given to the program by Mini Mobile and Bald <br />19 Eagle Erectors. She is supportive of the companies and requests that the council be supportive of <br />20 their request to the city (Agenda Item 6A). <br />21 <br />22 The council asked what the City can do to encourage other local businesses to support the PowerPack <br />23 program. Ms. Gramse said the local paper has covered the initiative and will do so again. Other <br />24 ideas discussed were information on the city web page and communication through the city cable <br />25 channel. <br />26 <br />27 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />28 <br />29 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />30 <br />31 CONSENT AGENDA <br />32 <br />33 Council Member Maher moved to approve Consent Agenda Items IA, I and I as presented. <br />34 Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />35 <br />36 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1 B and 1 C as presented. Council <br />37 Member Manthey seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote.
