<br />reconstruction. If municipal utility extension is petitioned by the neighborhood, this would be a <br />separate project/process that would be coordinated with the street reconstruction. <br /> <br />Funding for roadway paving and drainage improvements is proposed to be through street <br />reconstruction bonds and a separate funding source will need to be determined for portions of the <br />new curb and gutter. The City’s utility operating fund will fund the sanitary sewer rehabilitation <br />within the LaMotte neighborhood. The City will also pursue grant funding opportunities. <br /> <br />The project is proposed for construction in 2018. However, the two project areas can be <br />constructed independently. Project timing will be dependent, in part, on availability of funding. <br /> <br />To use street reconstruction bonds the City will need to prepare and approve a 5 Year Street <br />Reconstruction Plan. A draft plan is being prepared and will be presented to Council on June 12, <br />2017. <br /> <br />Requested Council Direction <br /> <br />None at this time, at the May 8, 2017 City Council meeting, consideration to Accept the <br />Feasibility Report will be recommended. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />1.
