L <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson <br />MEETING DATE: December 12, 2016 <br />TOPIC: Non -Union Compensation Plan <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is being asked to consider a resolution establishing the 2017 compensation <br />plan for non-union employees. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The non-union compensation plan includes the following positions: city administrator, <br />department directors, deputy public safety directors, public safety captain, HR manager, and city <br />clerk. The 2017 plan embodies a salary adjustment of 2.5 percent. <br />The 2017 budget includes a 2.5 percent wage increase for all City personnel. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 16-169, establishing the 2017 compensation plan for non-union <br />employees, effective January 1, 2017. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 16-169 <br />
