CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17-43 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />TO SUNRAM CONSTRUCTION INC., NORTHPOINTE PARK PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement <br />for bids during the April 10, 2017 City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />BASE BID <br />TOTAL <br />ALTERNATES <br />(1-6) <br />TOTAL BID <br />Sunram Construction Inc. <br />$239,973 <br />$67,675 <br />$307,648 <br />WHEREAS, Sunram Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the city to proceed with <br />the construction of NorthPointe Park to include the base bid as well as Alternates 3, 4, 5, and 6; and <br />WHEREAS, funding for this project is the Dedicated Parks Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Sunram Construction, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the <br />NorthPointe Park Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Sunram Construction, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction <br />services of the NorthPointe Park Project in the amount of $280,823 to include the base bid <br />as well as Alternates 3, 4, 5, and 6. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of May, 2017. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Maher and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rafferty, Maher, Kusterman, Manthey, <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />Julia e Bartell, City <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayer <br />
