The bid was checked for mathematical accuracy and tabulated, and there <br />are no errors made on the Proposal Form. <br />The bid tabulation indicates the low bidder as Sunram Construction, Inc., in the amount of $307,648.00 <br />for Base Bid plus all Alternates, which overall was approximately 6% over the engineer's estimate. <br />WSB has worked with Sunram Construction on previous projects and would recommend that the City <br />consider this bid and award a contract to Sunram Construction, Inc. for $280,823.00 to include the base <br />bid and alternates 3 - 6 as detailed below: <br />Base Bid' $239,973 <br />Alternate #3: Export unsuitable soils for court $15,400 <br />Alternate #4: Import select granular borrow for court $21,700 <br />Alternate #5: Remove & replace curb & gutter $1,500 <br />Alternate #6: Remove and replace concrete walk $2,250 <br />Total Contract Amount: $280,823.00 <br />We also recommend setting aside a construction contingency of 10% of the construction budget to allow <br />or any unknowns on the site that may require change to the construction contract. <br />It has been a pleasure working with the City of Lino Lakes on this project and I look forward to seeing this <br />project move into construction.
