City of Lino Lakes <br />Park Board Meeting <br />Monday, November 6, 1995 <br />Recreation Update: Barry reported that the hockey rink at City Hall <br />will have extended open hours this year. There will be 5 rinks with <br />thirteen attendants. Country Lakes will have Friday through Sunday <br />hours, only because of past attendance. <br />He continued by saying the new brochure will be going out the first <br />week of December and programs are running very smoothly this fall. <br />ADA Update: Marty said there is going to be a meeting November 21 <br />and Centennial will be hosting it. Janet Bona will be attending the <br />meeting as well as a gentleman that worked on Richfield's program. <br />He has a lot of ideas on how to save money. <br />Friends of the Park Update: Marty passed around the recognition <br />plaques that will be placed on the tables, etc. recognizing the <br />people or companies for what they have done/contributed to the city <br />through the Friends. <br />There was another meeting on the charity golf tournament. Betty gave <br />information on the tournament fundraiser to be held August 10, 1996 <br />at the Chomonix Golf Course. <br />Forestry Update: The city staff laid approximately 6300 vibratory <br />plow lines. There is about 250 trees scheduled to be planted the <br />spring of 1996. There were 450 trees planted in 1995. <br />PROJECTS: <br />Marty said he thought most of the 1995 Park Board goals were <br />accomplished this year. He went over what was done and what needs to <br />be done next year. <br />Brandywood Park - There is a drainage problem next to one of the <br />trails that will have to be fixed next summer. There is still a <br />little cleanup that has to be done. <br />Pheasant Hills Preserve - This park is close to being done. <br />Country Lakes Park - Marty reported that the hydro -ax has been in <br />the park clearing the land. City staff will need to go in and do <br />some selective tree cutting. It is a mess but it has really opened <br />5 <br />
