E
Feasibility Report for Marshan Lake Condominiums, dated September 12, 1995,
and is not included in this report.
Please refer to Figure C in Appendix A of this report for proposed sanitary sewer,
improvements.
B. Watermain
Water service can be provided to the study area by utilizing the existing 12 -inch
trunk lines from the north at Apollo Drive and 4th Avenue, from the south at Elm
Street and 4th Avenue, and by extending the existing 12 -inch line at Forsham
Drive north to the new roadway alignment. Eight -inch lines will "loop" these
existing trunk lines together to provide water service to these areas. A 12 -inch
stub will also be extended to the northeast at the southern end of the I -35W
crossing to serve areas east of STH49 and north of the Shores of Marshan Lake
subdivision. Fire hydrants will be provided along these lines. The area affected
by these improvements is zoned Public Semi-public and Light Industrial, therefore
four -inch and six-inch service stubs will be provided as part of these
improvements. The proposed watermain improvements are shown on Figure D
in Appendix A.
C. Storm Sewer
The proposed storm drainage system consists of constructing 12 -inch to 48 -inch
reinforced concrete pipe to convey stormwater runoff from the proposed roadway
and adjacent properties to proposed regional ponds. The northerly storm drainage
system will outlet into a proposed pond which will indirectly drain into County
Ditch No. 10. The southerly storm drainage system will also outlet into a
proposed pond which will also indirectly drain into County Ditch No. 10.
The City's Surface Water Management Plan did not include data for this area and
required determination during a Capital Improvement Project Study. City staff
authorized OSM to study this area for surface water management requirements.
This study is presented in Appendix D. The storm drain systems are designed for
10 -year, 24-hour rainfall events. Ponds and storm drain outlets are designed for
100 -year, 24-hour rainfall events. The proposed storm drainage systems are
shown on Figure E in Appendix A.
OSM Project No. 5666.00
Page 2
