AGENDA ITEM 2 <br />City Engineer <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Dave <br />DATE <br />TOPIC <br />April 26, 1996 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-44 <br />EIS - Centennial Middle School <br />An Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) has been prepared for <br />the Centennial Middle School according to Chapter 4410 of the <br />Environmental Quality Board(EQB), Minnesota Rules 1991 and <br />amendments. According to EQB Rules, an EAW is required for this <br />project because the proposed institutional facility is more than <br />200,000 square feet in area and Lino Lakes is a city of the third <br />or fourth class. The purpose of an EAW is to assess the need for <br />an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) The EQB requires <br />notification of the following agencies: <br />Each member of the EQB (DNR, PCA, Mn. Dept. of Health, Mn. <br />Dept of Agriculture, MnDOT, Mn Board of Water and Soil <br />Resources, Mn. Planning Agency, Mn. Dept. of Public Service, <br />Office of Environmental Assistance) <br />US Corps of Engineers <br />US Environmental Protection Agency <br />US Fish and Wildlife Service <br />State Historical Society <br />Environmental Conservation Library <br />Legislative Reference Library <br />Metropolitan Council <br />Local Government'Unit within project site <br />Proposer of Project <br />Any petitioners <br />The above listed agencies were sent copies of the EAW and had until <br />April 24, 1996 to respond.
