STAFF OR <br />DATE: <br />SUBJECT: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Marty Asleson <br />ky 8, 1996 <br />Cooperative Recreation Programming Consideration <br />Janet Bona was hired to continue the adaptive recreation <br />consortium planning. Janet is also the Recreation Program <br />Supervisor for the North Metro Recreation Cooperative. <br />Recently, Janet approached us on the idea of cooperatively <br />planning Some Programs that traditionally we both may have <br />problems acquiring adequate number to offer such programs. The <br />focus here are trips that require bus transportation. Programs <br />would be cooperatively planned and advertised as such. <br />In order to consider this cooperative venture, the League of <br />Minnesota Cities Attorney was consulted and suggested defining <br />responsibility and indemnification and hold harmless language. <br />Barry. Review the document and accept the idea of cooperat <br />programing to the degree discussed. <br />Refer back to staff for further discussion. <br />REC TXON: <br />I think this is a good opportunity to begin renewing, our <br />relationship with the surrounding communities in the area of <br />recreation.
