City of Lino Lakes
Park Board Meeting
Monday, December 4, 1995
Marty said he is proud of this committee and the growth they have
made in a short time.
Marty asked the board to call him if they had any good
fundraising ideas.
Trails Committee Update: Marty said the trails committee
resolution was accepted by the City Council. He included a copy
of the resolution and changes the City Council made, in each
members packets.
He said the committee opportunity will be advertised with the
other committee and board member opportunities of the city. It
was understood that one voting committee member would be from the
Park and Recreation Board as a liaison, and at least one member
from the 20/20 group, with geographic distribution a
consideration. He suggested that if any Park Board members was
interested in this committee they should write a letter to Dan
Tesch.
George asked when the committee members would be appointed.
Marty thought it would be done in December or January.
Marty added that this was an update and a recommendation was not
applicable at this time.
Other Old Business and Updates:
Aqua Lane - Marty said he sent a letter to John VonDeLinde
pertaining several issues. One of those issues was the trail
along Aqua Lane. Part of the agreement with the developer was
getting permission from Anoka County. John met with Marty and he
did not see a problem with this.
Marty also invited him to the next ADA Consortium meeting. He
thought the county would either send Nick or Lisa Gilland to the
meeting.
They also had a discussion on the Tri -City Trails Committee.
John would like to set this committee up so they would meet
periodically during day hours. John said he would like to work
with the city on east west trails on the next round of ISTEA
funding.
5
