AG NEA ITEM 6 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Randy Schumacher City "Administrator <br />DATE 23 May 1996 <br />TOPIC Environmental Affairs Committee <br />On February 7, 1996 representatives of the Citizen's Advisory <br />Group of the 20/20 Vision plan met with the Lino Lakes City Council <br />to discuss the prospect of establishing a citizens environmental <br />advisory board. Since February the Advisory Board has gathered information <br />and presented that information to the City Council at their 22 May <br />Worksession. <br />the + onsensus of the City Council at their May 22 worksession <br />e Environmental' Advisory Group from the 20/20 Vision Project was <br />to recommend seven (7) individuals to be appointed to the Environmental <br />Affairs Committee. These individuals can not presently be serving; on <br />any other advisory board or commission. <br />The Committee will establish a one (1) year work plan for 1997 as <br />well as a corresponding budget and bylaws. These items will be accomplished <br />by NoverttherNovember 1996. At that time, the Council will review the work plan, and <br />make final determinations relating tothe scope of committee projects, <br />term ;limits, liaisons and budgets. <br />During this six (6) month organizational period, the Committee shall have <br />access to city staff, and other departmental resources as authorized by <br />the City Administrator. <br />
