The City has bid this vehicle through the <br />Hennepin County Purchasing Division. Two bids were given to <br />Hennepin County Purchasing Division. One from Polar Chevrolet for <br />$16,390.00 and the other was from Iten Chevrolet for $16,587.00. <br />Hennepin County Purchasing Division awarded the bid to Thane <br />Hawkins/Polar Chevrolet, Inc. for $16,390.00. (Bids are about 10% <br />to 15% higher this year) <br />These bids are for the cab and chassis only. I will be returning <br />to a future Council meeting asking for bid awards on the utility <br />box equipment. I anticipate this equipment bidding to come in at <br />approximately $11,000.00. <br />OPTION <br />#1 Approve purchase, low Hennepin County Purchasing Divis <br />of $16,390.00 to Thane Hawkins/Polar Chevrolet, Inc. <br />#2 Do not approve the purchase. <br />RECO <br />option#1 - approve the purchase of the low Hennepin County; <br />Purchasing Division bid of $16,390.00 to Thank Hawkins/Polar <br />Chevrolet, Inc. <br />
