AGENDA ITEM No. 8 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR TOM DEWOLFE <br />DATE JANUARY 19, 1995 <br />TOPIC APPROVE PURCHASE <br />1995 DUMP TRUCK CAB AND CHASSIS <br />ACKGRODUND s> <br />Budgeted for 1995, was the replacement of the oldest (1980) dump <br />truck in the fleet. The City has bid this vehicle through the <br />Hennepin County Purchasing Division. Two bids were given to <br />Hennepin County Purchasing Division. One bid was from Boyer Ford <br />Truck, Inc. for $43,648.00 and the other was Lakeland Ford Truck <br />Sales for $43,241_00. Hennepin County Purchasing Division awarded <br />the bid to Lakeland Ford Truck Sales. (Bids are about 10% to 15% <br />higher this year). <br />These bids are for the cab and chassis only. I will be returning <br />to a future Council meeting asking for bid awards on the dump box, <br />snow plow equipment and hydraulic equipment. I anticipate this <br />equipment bidding to come in at approximately $26,000.00. <br />OPTIONS I. <br />#1) Approve the purchase, low Hennepin County Purchasing Division <br />bid of $43,241.00 to Lakeland Ford Truck Sales_ <br />#2) Do not approve the bid. <br />RECOMMENDATION . <br />Option #1.
