c. What are your other sources of funding? General Assistance Per Diem (64%), <br />United Way of Minneapolis (15%), Minnesota Deparunent of Corrections (130), <br />private and public contributions (5%), other municipalities (3%). <br />d. What other Anoka County cities will you be requesting funding from and <br />amounts requested? Blaine ($15,000), Columbia Heights ($3,500), St. <br />Francis ($1,000), Fridley ($5,000), Circle Pines ($2,000), Centerville <br />($1,000), East Bethel ($1,000). <br />5. a. What are the goals of your agency? To provide 24 hour temporary emergency <br />shelter, support services and community advocacy to battered women and their <br />children and youth. In addition, we provide information, referrals, <br />advocacy, community education, training to over 8,500 people over the <br />crisis line, in schools and in the community. <br />b. What will the funds requested be used for? Will it be used for a new <br />program, expansion of existing services, or to maintain service for Lino <br />Lakes residents? These funds will be used to begin Intervention Program <br />services in the City of Lino Lakes. *See attached description of <br />intervention services. <br />c. How many clients from the City of Lino Lakes are currently being served? <br />To date, emergency and non -emergency services were provided to 32 women <br />and their children from the City of Lino Lakes. <br />d. How many additional City of Lino Lakes clients will be served over the <br />present level as a result of CDBG funding? In addition, 25 families from <br />the City of Lino Lakes will receive intervention program services. <br />e. What benefits will be gained by Lino Lakes residents as a result of <br />your program? Lino Lakes residents will receive assistance with legal <br />advocacy needs, support, information, referrals and community education <br />to Lino Lakes Police Department regarding domestic assault issues. <br />6. CLIENT POPULATION: <br />a. What portion of the client population is served by your program? <br />Battered women and their children/youth. <br />b. What is the income level of the clients to be served? <br />95% are low to moderate income. <br />c. What negative impact, if any, will occur on the target population if <br />funding is not granted by the City? We would not be able to provide <br />intervention services in the City of Lino Lakes. Battered waren and <br />their families will not have the opportunity to receive support upon <br />an arrest of the abuser. <br />
