Centennial School District, Elm Street, <br />Conditional Use Permit, Rezoning and Site Plan <br />Review, CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLEASE REFERENCE YOUR FEBRUARY 14, 1996, P <br />This packet includes a summary of the neighborhood meetings <br />concerning the extension of Elm Street <br />landscaping and tree preservation plan. <br />Several concerns were addressed at the February P & Z meet ing. In <br />addition to the roadway alignment, the P & Z and citizens pressed <br />concern regarding the f ollowinc <br />ATHLETIC FACILITIES: <br />Several residents expressed concern regarding the extensive use of <br />the site for athletic facilities. According to the School <br />District, the site contains fewer facilities than are recommended <br />for a Middle School of this size. The City's Park Department is <br />looking forward to a cooperative agreement with the School District <br />on the use of these facilities, as are other community service <br />groups with in the area. The School District will address this <br />question in more detail at the Public Hearing. <br />LIGHTING OF THE BALL FIELDS: <br />The School District has indicated ki2 desire to light any of the <br />athletic fields. If additional lighting is requested, an Amended <br />Condition Use Permit would be required and a public hearing held. <br />and an updated site <br />LANDSCAPING/TREE PRESERVATION/FENCING: <br />A revised landscaping and tree preservation plan has been submitted <br />indicating what areas will be protected and preserved. In <br />addition, the architect has outlined a detailed fencing and tree <br />preservation plan. The City Forester will be working closely with <br />the School District on this plan. <br />
