COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 9,1995 <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve Mrs. Anderson's recommendation. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 95 -134 Designating October as Domestic Violence <br />Awareness Month - Mrs. Anderson explained that Alexandra House has prepared a <br />resolution designating October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month for <br />municipalities to consider and adopt. The purpose of the resolution is generate public <br />awareness of domestic violence in our community. Alexandra House has also planned <br />various activities for this month at will inform Anoka County residents of the seriousness <br />of this crime and how it impacts individuals as well as an entire community. Other <br />information about domestic violence will be given to the City Council. Mrs. Anderson <br />recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution 95 - 134 Proclaiming October as <br />Domestic Violence Awareness Month. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 95 - 134. Council Member <br />Kuether seconded motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Appointing Election Judges for the November 7, 1995 Municipal <br />Election - Mrs. Anderson explained that she had prepared a list of election judges who <br />are trained and prepared to carry out the 1995 municipal election. If the list is approved <br />by the City Council, the election judges will be contacted to determine their availability <br />on election day. Once it has been determined exactly who is available, a list of judges for <br />each of the three (3) precincts will determined taking into consideration a balance of both <br />Democratic and Republican Judges. Mrs. Anderson recommended that the City Council <br />adopt a motion approving the list of election judges. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve Mrs. Anderson's recommendation. Council <br />Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />FOR INFORMATION ONLY, White Bear School Board's Invitation to Attend a <br />Meeting on Monday, October 30, 1995 to Discuss Issues With Communities Within <br />the District <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adjourn at 7:48 P.M. Council Member Kuether <br />seconded the motion.
