EQUIPMENT: <br />During the year we received three new grass/utility units, one for each <br />station. These units provide a valuable addition. They replace 1953, 1954, <br />and 1974 vintage vehicles. <br />The computer software was also updated. We are now able to monitor and <br />analyze the activities more completely. <br />SUMMARY: <br />We feel 1994 was a year in which much progress was made to improve our <br />operation. We will continue to improve the effectiveness of the Fire District <br />in the future. <br />Goals set for 1994. In the beginning of the year, we had set some goals to <br />be accomplished during the year. <br />1 Continue to improve our inspection program. There was a lot <br />accomplished in this area and this is discussed in detail in the <br />Fire Prevention section. <br />2. Evaluate the effectiveness of our Training. We looked at our <br />training and considered some different areas were we felt were <br />weaker. This is covered in the training report. <br />3. Upgrade our grass vehicles. This was done and will be further <br />explained in the equipment section. <br />4. Develop specifications for a new pumper to be ordered late in <br />1994. The specifications were prepared, approved, and the <br />vehicle was ordered in the last quarter of 1994. <br />5. Improve the incident reporting system. New software was <br />implemented and the reporting to the state as well as <br />information to assist our evaluation of activities is much <br />improved. <br />Page 2 <br />
