PLANNING & ZONING BOARD
OCTOBER 11, 1995
Mr. Wessel indicated they would be looking for clean
businesses, without a lot of truck travel, etc. Mr.
Wessel noted the opinion is, if the business come into
Lino Lakes to lease, as they grow, they will look for
land in Lino Lakes.
Mr. Schones inquired about roof top equipment. Mr.
Fogerty indicated they would be using some screening and
would be coordinating the equipment to coordinate with
the building. Mr. Wessel indicated there have been some
concerns regarding this issue.
Mr. Anderson noted there have been problems with the
long term durability of buildings with rooftop
screening. He noted with high winds, such as 75 mph
winds, screening has been lifted from the top of the
building damaging the building and screening. He noted
it has been his experience if the roof top mechanics can
be coordinated with the building, they run more
efficiently and also look better than actual screening
with structures or fences.
Mr. Anderson wished only to inform the Board, not
necessarily remove the screening recommendations.
Mr. Greg Carpenter, part owner of Custom Remodelers,
explained a little bit about his company. He noted the
facility would house the marketing and business portion
of the business. He indicated they hire subcontractors
to do the actual remodeling, so no materials other than
perhaps windows will be stored on the site.
Ed Schones made a MOTION, to approve application 95-27-
S, Fogerty/Custom Remodelers, 475 Apollo Drive, Site
Plan Review subject to the seven stated conditions, and
was supported by Al Robinson. All voted aye. Motion
carried.
6
