AGENDA ITEM 8E
STAFF ORIGINATOR John Powell. Acting City Bngineer
DATE
May 19. 1995
Metropolitan Council/Lino Lakes
TOPIC Conveyance Agreement
BACK ROU
Most of the issues related to this agreement have been outlined in the report to the
Metropolitan Council Environmental Committee prepared by Metropolitan Council staff.
A copy of this report has been attached. In summary, the agreement turns over to the
City facilities which will no longer be useful to the Metropolitan Council system after the
new Ware Road Lift Station has been constructed. This project is scheduled for
completion in December, 1996.
In order to ao mmodate the changes to the system proposed by the Metropolitan
Council the City will need to modify our sewer system. These modifications include
retrofitting the laurene Avenue list station for smaller pumps; reversing the flow in the
forcernain between Ware Road and Lauren Avenue; and terminating the maintenance
agreement with the Metropolitan Council for the Black Duck Ltft Station. The end result
of all this activity will be the Metropolitan Council having a single point of seryice to this
part of the City with a dear delineatkn between Regional and City'fac
. Approve Conveyance Agreement with the Metropolitan Council and return It to the
Metropolitan Council for further processing.
Eaff for further negotiation with the Metropolitan Council.
tion No. 1.- Approve Conveyance Agreement with the Metropolitan Counckl and
retum it to the Metropolitan Council for further processing.
