AGENDA ITEM No. 4
STAFF ORIGINATOR: Marty Asleson
DATE: April 22, 1995
TOPIC: Approval to Spend Special Revenue Dollars for Rice Lake
Elementary Ball -field Fence Improvement.
BACKGROUND
Ball -field Number 3, at Rice Lake Elementary is a multi-purpose
field that is used for our Adult Softball Program. In the past we
have spent a great deal of time placing a maks,,;.shift snowfence up
for the outfield home -run area and field line areas. This fence
has to be continually adjusted and is a dangerous situation for
ballplayers. Furthermore, we have a concern for the safety of our
spectator, player bench areas, and people walking on our trail that
is directly adjacent to the right -field home -run area.
We propose to use $4878.25 of the fee -structured, recreation special
revenue account to purchase and install this badly needed fence.
This purchase would comply with the agreed upon improvements to be
added to this joint -use, Centennial School District/City of Lino
Lakes Park.
This project has been approved by the Park Board.
OPTIONS
1. Approve request to install out-field/line fence at Rice Lake
Elementary Joint -use Park.
2. Refer back to staff for further review
RECOMMENIATION
