AGENDA ITEM NO. <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Marilyn Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer <br />DATE August 23, 1995 <br />TOPIC <br />BACKGROUND <br />Consideration of Special Event Permit Application, <br />Cabaret License and 3.2 Beer License <br />Sandbur Days is an annual event held by the Circle 'n Lino <br />Lakes. This year Sandbur Days will be held on S tember 8th, 9th and loth This ev: t <br />requires two (2) licenses from the City as well as a <br />The Special Event application is complete and the fee has been paid. The applicants are <br />working with the Police Department, Public Works Department and the Fire District to <br />coordinate the event. A food license is required by Anoka County. This license is in the <br />process of being issued. A copy of the license must be posted in the area where food is <br />sold. <br />The 3.2 Beer License application is complete and has a Certificate on Insurance attached <br />naming the City of Lino Lakes as additional insured The Cabaret License application is <br />also complete and the fee has been paid. <br />Sandbur Days has been held at Sunrise Park for many years. On this same weekend, <br />Waldoch's Sports will hold their annual snowmobile races on grass, Gethsemane United <br />Methodist Church will hold its annual booya and festival and the Men's Club at St. Joseph <br />Catholic Church will conduct their annual auction. The Police Department is aware of all <br />these events and additional officers will be working that weekend. The snowmobile club <br />organizing the snowmobile races reimburses the Police Department for traffic control and <br />Reserve Police Officers usually staff booth at Sunrise Park. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Approve the Special Event Permit, the Cabaret License and the 3.2 Beer License <br />as requested. <br />2, Deny the permit and both license requests. <br />3.. Return to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
