STAFF ORIGINATOR Marilyn Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer DATE August 23, 1995 TOPIC BACKGROUND Consideration of Special Event Permit Application, Cabaret License and 3.2 Beer License Sandbur Days is an annual event held by the Circle 'n Lino Lakes. This year Sandbur Days will be held on S tember 8th, 9th and loth This ev: t requires two (2) licenses from the City as well as a The Special Event application is complete and the fee has been paid. The applicants are working with the Police Department, Public Works Department and the Fire District to coordinate the event. A food license is required by Anoka County. This license is in the process of being issued. A copy of the license must be posted in the area where food is sold. The 3.2 Beer License application is complete and has a Certificate on Insurance attached naming the City of Lino Lakes as additional insured The Cabaret License application is also complete and the fee has been paid. Sandbur Days has been held at Sunrise Park for many years. On this same weekend, Waldoch's Sports will hold their annual snowmobile races on grass, Gethsemane United Methodist Church will hold its annual booya and festival and the Men's Club at St. Joseph Catholic Church will conduct their annual auction. The Police Department is aware of all these events and additional officers will be working that weekend. The snowmobile club organizing the snowmobile races reimburses the Police Department for traffic control and Reserve Police Officers usually staff booth at Sunrise Park. OPTIONS 1. Approve the Special Event Permit, the Cabaret License and the 3.2 Beer License as requested. 2, Deny the permit and both license requests. 3.. Return to staff for further information.
