OCT -19-1995 09:31 <br />Bikeways & Trailways Committee <br />CITY OF SHOREVIEW <br />P.01,64 <br />The Bikeways and Trailways Committee consists of 11 members <br />appointed by the City Council. The Bikeways and Trailways <br />Committee's purpose is to provide recommendations to the City <br />Council on issues such as implementing the bikeway and sidewalk <br />plan (called the Basic Level of Service), bikeway and trail <br />design, bicycle safety programs, other topics that the City <br />Council may request their review. The Bikeways and Trailways <br />Committee meets regularly on the first Thursday of the month. <br />Environmental Quality Committee* <br />The Environmental Quality Committee consists of eleven members <br />appointed by the City Council. In 1986 the City Council combined <br />the Eol id Waste Committee with the Lake Quality Committee to form <br />the Environmental Quality Committee which provides <br />recom:r.endations to the City Council on issues relating to the <br />environment, water quality and so -lid waste. The Co.r:mittee's <br />duties include reviewing development proposals for environmental <br />concerns and storm water quality, providing input into the local <br />watershed planning process, study and make recommendations on <br />solid waste disposal and recycling, and providing educational <br />programs and information to the public on environmental issues. <br />The Environmental Quality Committee meets regularly on the second <br />Monday of every month. <br />Public Safety Committee <br />The Public Safety Committee consists of eight citizen members and <br />one voting member each from Health One, Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department and the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department. The <br />Public Safety. Committee is appointed by the City Council and <br />serves as an advisory committee on issues related to public <br />safety including emergency disaster procedures, animal control, <br />fire safety, crime control, and other special topics that the <br />City Council may request their review.
