ULI-1'1-1`-i 09=31 CITY OF SHOREVIEW F.02/04 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-34 <br />ESTABLISHHING A CITIZEN'S ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON STORM WATER AND LAKE QUALITY <br />MANAGEMENT <br />WHEREAS, The City Council recognizes the need for citizen <br />participation in the study and planning of programs relating to storm <br />water management and lake quality assurance for the -City of Shoreview; and <br />WHEREAS, a Committee of Shoreview citizens are appointed and <br />authorized to identify and investigate storm water problems and lake <br />quality control issues to recommend to the City Council necessary plans, <br />projects, and programs for the correction and resolution of such problems <br />and issues; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SHOREVIEW IN A REGULAR MEETING ASSEMBLED AS FOLLOWS: <br />A. Establishment of the Committee <br />1. That an ad hoc committee which shall be named the Shoreview <br />Stormwater Management Committee shall be established and members <br />appointed for the purpose of advising the City Council in all <br />matters pertaining to stormwater runoff, drainage, storage, and <br />effects on lake quality. <br />2. The Committee shall be composed of nine (9) members appointed <br />by the City Council. Any member of the Committee may be removed <br />by a majority vote of the City Council. <br />3. The Committee shall be composed of members who shall be residents <br />of the community which shall include the following: <br />a. a representative of the Planning Commission; <br />b. a representative of the Park, Recreation and Forestry <br />Commission; <br />c. a specialist in matters of ecosystems and hydrology; <br />d. selected and knowledgeable citizens at large; <br />e. r�ty Staff Personnel_ shall act as ex -officio members to <br />%be 4ommi tee; <br />f. special advisory personnel may serve on the Committee who <br />may or may not be residents of the. community. <br />A. Terms - Appointment to the Cornnittee shall be made the first <br />regular January meeting of the City Council or more often if <br />required. Members shall be appointed for three-year.ternis <br />beginning February 1 and ending January 31 of the third year <br />following. Initial appointments pursuant to the Resolution <br />
