AGENDA ITEM 6 E
STAFF ORIGINATOR John Powell,
DATE June 23, 1995
TOPIC
Acting City Engineer
Resolution No 95-80
Adoption of Standards to
Source Pollution
Non -Point Source Pollution involves pollutant materials which are
carried off of the land into receiving waters through rainfall and
snowmelt. The Metropolitan Council has adopted a strategy to
reduce this source of pollution to water bodies in the Metro Area.
The City, through the recent completion of the Surface Water
Management Plan and updating of the Floodplain and Shoreland
Ordinances has met most of the technical requirements of the
strategy. The remaining area to address to comply with the Met
Council's strategy is to amend the City's Land Use Control to
incorporate the Plan and revised ordinances. City Staff would
anticipate completion of the Land Use Controls by the Spring of
1996 in conjunction with an updating of the City's Comprehensive
Land Use Plan.
oP
1. Adopt Resolution No. 95-80
Return to staff for further review
Option 1
