Council Member introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-80 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO STANDARDS TO REDUCE NON -POINT SOURCE <br />POLLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LINO LAMES, MN. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes, MN has adopted a Local <br />Surface Water Management Plan which incorporates the Nation Wide <br />Urban Runoff Program (NURP) standards for the design of new <br />stormwater ponds and the MPCA's urban best management practices <br />titled Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas to the review of any <br />proposed development occurring in the City of Lino Lakes to reduce <br />nonpoint source pollutant loadings in stormwater runoff, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Lino Lakes to <br />complete a Comprehensive Land Use Plan Amendment, by Spring of <br />1996, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Lino Lakes to amend <br />Land Use Controls to incorporate the Local Surface Water Management <br />Plan by the Spring of 1996, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has adopted a Shoreland <br />Management Ordinance and a Floodplain Management Ordinance, <br />reviewed and approved by the MN Department of Natural Resources, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City <br />of Lino Lakes hereby authorizes the initiation of studies to amend <br />the Comprehensive Land Use Plan including Local Land Use Controls <br />to incorporate the Metropolitan Council's recommended NURP <br />Standards, the MPCA's urban best management practices and the <br />City's Local Surface Water Management Plan by Spring of 1996. <br />Approval of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan including Local <br />Land Use Controls are subject to review and response of the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />Approved by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes, MN this _ <br />day of , 1995 <br />Vernon F.
