Identify what transit services and travel demand management strategies are appropriate for implementation in order to increase the number of people who use transit or share rides and to reduce the peak level of demand on the entire transportation system. 5. Identify strategies and policies relative to the development of a multi -use trailway system (to be developed using input provided by City). 6. Discussion of plan implementation. 7. Prepare four copies of the draft plan for review and 20 copies of the final plan. The Transportation Plan will be completed so as to meet the Metropolitan Council and Mn/DOT requirements. BASIS OF PAYMENT The estimated cost to complete the Comprehensive Transportation Plan is $21,500. We will not exceed this amount unless there is a change in scope, and only with your authorization. Meetings are not included in the above cost estimate. Each of six meetings with staff or agencies is estimated to cost $400 (to be attended by one SRF staff person). Public information meetings are estimated at $1,000 each (to be attended by two SRF staff persons). As we discussed, detailed special area studies such as the I-35W/TH 49 interchange and Lake Drive from Main Street to the City's west border are not included in the above estimate. We will be happy to sit with you at the appropriate time to determine the scope and budget for these special studies. We would propose to be reimbursed for our services on an hourly basis at a rate of 2.5 times salary cost for the actual time expended; at actual cost for the out -of- pocket expenses (printing, reproduction); and for mileage at a rate of $.31 per mile. Invoices would be submitted on a monthly basis for work performed during the previous month with payment due within 30 days. It is understood that if the scope or the extent of the services should be adjusted at any time, the fee will be adjusted accordingly. However, we will not adjust the scope without your authorization. As indicated previously, meetings will be charged separately for preparation, time and travel, at the approximate cost noted.
