As you are aware, your Planning and Zoning Board requested that our urch meet with you to discuss the possibility of leasing some park land to the north of the chu h building. I have attached a layout showing the proposed church building plans and required ng. As we've indicated, he church has no plans for our unused property. We would be most interested In talking o the city regarding the leasing of some of this unused property or even consider a lease pu chase that you have suggested. There are many diff rent options that may be workable to both the city and our church. You indicated that the Parks and Recreation Department had limited funds available. Perhaps if we were able to come tlo an agreement on a lease price, the City of Lino Lakes would consider reducing a like amort in sewer and water fees which the church would have to pay to the city. As requested the Plannin ZoningBoard,our church sent a letter to 47 propertyowners surrounding the church property tomeen July 9 to discuss the church plansMorthan 15 showed up at the m sting. The majority of discussion at this meeting was regarding the type of park and park activi ies at this location. The residents expressed a very strong concern that there was no presentatio by the city regarding park plans in this area. There did not appear to be a very strong consen us regarding an active park. In closing, again we are very interested in meeting and discussing park opportunities with you. We would hope that the city would meet with the residents to clarify their expectations before we come to any final decisions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.
