After the re-evaluation of vehicle 390, a recommendation will be made for Council <br />consideration on the replacement of vehicle 390. If 390 is replaced, staff would <br />recommend replacing this vehicle with a vehicle that is not consistent with vehicle <br />models currently in the police fleet. This will allow this vehicle to be used for <br />surveillance purposes. For budgeting purposes staff recommends using $30,966.82 for <br />the purchase of the vehicle and installation of any required emergency equipment. <br /> <br />If vehicles 300 and 385 are approved to be replaced in 2018 the total anticipated costs for <br />those purchases is $72,411.87. <br /> <br />If after the re-evaluation of 390, the replacement of vehicles 300, 385, and 390 are <br />approved to be replaced in 2018 the total anticipated costs for those purchases is <br />$103,378.69. <br /> <br />Attached to this memo for your review and consideration is City Mechanic Brett <br />Olander’s report with photos. <br />Budget Work Session 7-31-17 107
