Storm sewer. Stormwater runoff is divided and is directed into two separate <br />directions. The east half of the roadway will drain to the re -aligned Otter Lake <br />Road storm sewer system. The west half of the roadway will be directed into a <br />proposed pond or existing ditch. Regional ponding is planned for this area and <br />every attempt will be made to maintain buildable land for development. <br />Street. The proposed roadway consists of a 9 -ton, 32 -foot wide section with <br />concrete curb and gutter. Preliminary soils information indicate poor subgrade <br />soils and the need to improve these soils by installing a 2 -foot thick granular <br />subbase. Curb cuts will be provided and located per property owners direction. <br />The roadway will include the filling of a wetland. Mitigation for this filling will <br />require a permit from Rice Creek Watershed District. Staff has discussed <br />regional ponding and wetland mitigation with Rice Creek Watershed District with <br />a favorable response from the District. <br />Project Costs <br />The street design was recently discussed with the City's consulting engineer with the <br />design of the road section changing slightly.
