75518 <br />WHEREAS, in distributing decision making for routes of specific <br />functional classification to the appropriate level of government, it <br />is necessary to turn back certain routes from one level of government <br />to another; and <br />WHEREAS, one such route is the portion of Trunk Highway No. 49 within <br />the corporate City limits that begins at the south Anoka County line <br />and ends at the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility, and consists of the <br />following segments: <br />From the south Anoka County line northerly to the Lake Drive - <br />Lilac Street intersection, and <br />From the Lake Drive - Lilac Street intersection westerly to the <br />Lilac Street - 4th Avenue North intersection, and <br />From the Lilac Street - 4th Avenue North intersection southerly <br />to the main entrance of the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the State and the City signed a non-binding Memo of <br />Understanding that specified certain objectives to be attained in <br />connection with the turn back of the above mentioned portion of Trunk <br />Highway No. 49; and <br />WHEREAS, the State and the City wish to enter into a turn back <br />agreement that would provide for the jurisdictional transfer, from <br />the State to the City, of the 4th Avenue North section of Trunk <br />Highway No. 49 between Lilac Street and the main entrance to the Lino <br />Lakes Correctional Facility under State Project No. 0204-14 <br />(T.H. 49=326); and <br />2 <br />
