Semi Annual Report 12 January -June 1995 <br />Attended first planning meeting regarding the disaster exercise that <br />will be conducted with Circle Pines, Mounds View, Blaine, Lino Lakes <br />Police Departments, Anoka County Sheriff, Centennial Fire District, <br />Blaine, Spring Lake Park,Mounds View Fire Departments and the <br />Metropolitan Airport Commission. <br />Attended Minnesota Chiefs of Police legislative meeting. <br />Attended meeting regarding the "TRIAD" program where the sheriff, <br />police chiefs and older or retired leaders in the community agree to <br />work together to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly. <br />Attended Minnesota Chiefs of Police Annual Conference in St. Cloud. <br />Attended Anoka County Chapter of the Red Cross. <br />Attended a 20/20 Vision meeting regarding growth impact and the impact <br />on the Police Department. Follow up meeting is scheduled in June <br />regarding some of the same issues. <br />Attended Anoka County Chapter of the Red Cross. <br />Attended the Forest Lake Youth Services Bureau meeting. <br />Attended 20/20 Vision meeting regarding growth impact on two separate <br />occasions to discuss the effect of increased population, commercial <br />and industrial growth on the police department's current and future <br />resources. <br />As the Vice President of the Metropolitan Emergency Manager's <br />Association (MEMA), I was responsible for organizing the annual <br />meeting. The annual meeting was held at the Event Center at the Mall <br />of America. Over 80 Emergency Managers from the Metro area attended. <br />The topic was Men and Women in the workplace. I was officially <br />elected as the President of MEMA at this meeting. <br />Attended the Lino Lakes Prison Community Meeting where we discussed <br />the growth of the inmate population and the different type of inmate. <br />Attended the PM2 meeting and continued to work on the Crisis <br />Intervention program in conjunction with Forest Lake Youth Services <br />Bureau, Anoka County, Washington County, and Chisago County. <br />Met with Cliff Holman of Centerville School District to secure current <br />and future funding of D.A.R.E. <br />Met with Mayor Reinert, Councilmember Neal, Mayor Wilharber and <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht regarding the potential to provide Police <br />Services to the Centerville community. <br />
